Black Crows Camox Freebird Ski w/ Touring Skins - 2027 Red, 179cm

"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I put the Camox Freebird Ski through a long approach with a few thousand feet of climbing before a mixed bag descent of wind crust and soft pockets. It handled the transitions between snow types without ever feeling harsh, and the included skins tracked straight the entire way up.""Some days in the backcountry ask for a ski that doesn't take sides, one that's just as happy grinding out a long approach as it is playing around on the way back down. Black Crows built the Camox Freebird Ski around exactly that kind of balance, refining the tip and widening the waist to 97mm so it floats through soft snow without giving up the quick, reactive feel that makes it fun to ski. A tighter sidecut radius makes weight transfers feel lively, so linking turns through variable snow never feels like a chore. Every gram on this ski earns its place. A full paulownia core, the lightest option in the Black Crows touring lineup, keeps the swing weight low on long climbs, while carbon and fiberglass laminates layer in torsional stiffness without adding bulk. A titanal plate under the binding zone handles the stresses of a hybrid touring setup, and a semi-cap build with a partial cap tip shaves even more weight where the ski needs it least. The matched Pilus skins round out the package, sized and ready to climb the moment you open the box."
