Black Crows Draco Freebird Skis - 2027 Orange, 189cm

"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I dropped into a narrow, exposed line on the Draco Freebird Ski and found the twin tail let me scrub speed with a quick sideways slash instead of relying on edge pressure alone. Once I hit the apron below, the ski held a confident edge even at a higher speed than I expected from something this playful.""Some backcountry lines call for finesse over brute force, and Black Crows built the Draco Freebird Ski around exactly that idea. It's the twin tip in their touring range, designed to let you wash out a turn and shed speed with a loose, drifty style rather than muscling through on edge. That playfulness comes paired with real conviction underfoot, where classic camber keeps the ski gripping firm snow with more authority than its twin tip shape might suggest. A paulownia and poplar core keeps the build honest for the climb, while fiberglass reinforcement adds just enough structure without reaching for metal, keeping the swing weight manageable across a long tour. The firm, progressive flex and slightly straight sidecut are built for a rider who skis with commitment, someone who wants a ski that responds to input rather than one that goes quiet when the terrain gets serious. It's a ski for skiers who value the ride down as much as the climb up."
