"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""This is the hoodie I grab when conditions look stable but I know they won't stay that way. The grid back does real work. You don't overheat on the skin track, and when the wind picks up at the col, the wind and water-resistant coating actually buys you time. It packs into the hand pocket cleanly, which means I carry it even on days I'm not sure I'll need it. That's the kind of piece that earns permanent bag space.""The approach is always warmer than the summit. The Black Diamond Coefficient Storm Full-Zip Hoodie exists for that gap, the moment you crest the ridge and the wind hits before you've had time to layer up. Grid construction across the back keeps airflow moving when you're generating heat on the climb, and the wind and water-resistant coating takes over when the weather stops cooperating. When the sun does come out, the Coefficient Storm packs into its own hand pocket without any of the usual fumbling. The chest pocket and two hand pockets stay accessible whether it's on your body or someone else's pack. This is the midlayer that doesn't require a decision. It just goes."
