Individual anchor straps hold the bikes securely in place, and there's even a loop for locking the pad to your truck with a cable to deter theft. Please note that this model works best with traditional tailgate designs. If you have a thicker modern tailgate with a backup camera you'll be better served by the Pick-Up Pad DLX.
