"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I keep these in my pack for ski tours and ice climbing—they add just enough insulation over base layers or under a shell when I’m standing around belaying or grabbing lunch at the summit.""In the mountains, a little extra insulation around our core can go a long way. That’s where the Bergtagen 60 Insulation Shorts come in. Built with sustainability and mobility in mind, these alpine-ready shorts deliver quick, packable warmth for winter layering systems. PrimaLoft® Silver Rise insulation with P. U. R. E.™ Technology offers impressive warmth-to-weight and stays warm when wet, making it perfect for backcountry snow, alpine climbs, and summit transitions. They pull on easily over base layers with full-length zippers and a wide Velcro-adjustable waistband, and the synthetic fill ensures loft and warmth even in damp conditions. Whether tossed on at a windy ridgeline or layered under shell pants in a snow cave, these shorts are a lightweight boost of comfort that disappears into your pack until you need them most."
