What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: “I wear these on winter workdays when sidewalks are slick and plans don’t stop after hours. The traction is noticeable on ice, and the shoe stays comfortable indoors thanks to the fleece lining and supportive footbed. It’s an easy choice when I want one pair that handles commuting and evening walks.” We reach for the Metro 2 BUGrip Shoe when winter conditions blur the line between city streets and icy back paths. Designed by Icebug for cold-weather living, this shoe keeps us moving confidently from morning commutes to after-work walks without changing footwear. The clean silhouette fits right in around town while quietly packing serious grip below. A durable suede upper delivers everyday polish and durability, while the soft fleece lining keeps feet comfortable as temperatures dip. Underfoot, the BUGrip outsole uses carbide-tipped studs to bite into ice, and an EVA midsole paired with an Ortholite footbed provides all-day support. Finished with a convenient zipper closure, this shoe makes winter errands and icy sidewalks feel far less complicated.
