"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I've been running these Flipjaw poles all season, skinning up before sunrise and lapping the resort chair after the lifts open, and the adjustment mechanism never once slipped on me. The dual injection grip stays comfortable even when my hands are frozen solid on a windy ridge. I used to swap poles depending on the day, now I just twist the FlipJaw and I'm ready for whatever the mountain throws at me.""The best days on snow rarely stick to one plan, and the Flipjaw Freeride Pole from Backcountry is built for that unpredictability. One minute we're skinning up a quiet ridge in the blue light of morning, poles shortened for the climb, and the next we're dropping into the resort for laps with friends, poles extended and ready to charge. There's no swapping gear or second guessing our setup, just one pole that keeps pace with however the day unfolds. That kind of range comes down to the details. The FlipJaw mechanism lets us change length in seconds, even with gloves on, so we're never fumbling at the trailhead or holding up the group. A dual injection grip keeps our hands steady through frozen mornings and slushy afternoons alike, while the 7075 aluminum shaft shrugs off the inevitable rock strike or awkward fall. It's the kind of pole that disappears in our hands until we actually need it to perform."
