The brand's own Hydrus 3. 0 membrane is both waterproof and breathable, but costs less than GORE-TEX to save us a few bucks while still keeping us safe. The latex gaskets with neoprene covers seal out waves and water at the neck and wrist while waterproof zippers on the chest pocket and relief zipper keep us totally watertight. It also features an overskirt that sandwiches our sprayskirt to keep our kayak drier when rolling or playing, and the diagonal, front-entry zipper makes it easier to get in and out of our dry suit than rear-entry dry suits. Made in the USA, the Meridian features most of the bells and whistles that come standard with the company's higher-end dry suits, but at a dirtbag-friendly price.
