"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I trust the Taiss HS Hooded Jacket when the weather turns serious in the alpine. The fabric feels tough without being stiff, and the fit gives me room to move on steep terrain. The chest pockets are easy to access with a harness on, and the hood works smoothly with a helmet in wind and snow.""We rely on the Taiss HS Hooded Jacket from Mammut for year-round alpine days when weather protection can’t be optional. From exposed ridgelines to long technical routes, it keeps us focused on movement and decision-making instead of changing conditions. The 3-layer Mammut DRY Expedition laminate delivers reliable waterproof, windproof, and highly breathable performance, backed by a durable ripstop face fabric. The high-reach fit allows overhead movement without ride-up, while climbing- and pack-compatible chest pockets stay accessible on route. A helmet-compatible storm hood, PFC-free DWR, and recycled materials round out a hardshell built for demanding mountain environments."
