The Crossmax SL Ultimate 30 features Mavic's Adaptive carbon layup technology to eliminate excess weight without compromising stiffness or durability. Material elimination on the rim paired with revised spoke holes and external carbon layering for added durability makes for a balanced carbon rim that is light and durable, tipping the scales at just over three pounds for the wheelset. The Infinity hub is lighter and stiffer thanks to the revised 24-hole spoke pattern, and the Instant Drive 360 freewheel gives us a double ratchet system for reliability and fast engagement on the trails. The 30mm inner diameter offers better stability and traction in rougher terrain, while the tubeless-ready setup and the ability to run up to 2. 5-inch-wide tires give us the grip and traction we need for aggressive cross-country riding and racing.
