Norrona Trollveggen Dri2 Down800 Zip Hooded Jacket - Men's Caviar Black, XL

"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I wore this on a multi-pitch ice climb where I spent more time belaying than moving, and it kept me warm the entire time. The dump pockets swallowed my gloves and a headlamp without ever feeling bulky.""Standing still on an exposed belay ledge in sub-zero wind is when a jacket earns its keep, and the Trollveggen Dri2 Down800 Zip Hooded Jacket is built for exactly that stillness. Box construction locks 350g of down fill in place across the body, so warmth stays put through hours of waiting on rope instead of migrating away from where it's needed most, whether that's a frozen waterfall pitch or a wind-scoured ridge on a ski tour. The dri2 membrane brings a 20,000mm waterproof rating and matching breathability to a jacket that otherwise reads as pure warmth, so wet snow and spindrift never become a problem underneath the shell. Reinforced thermo panels at the shoulders, elbows, and cuffs target the spots that take the most abuse from harnesses and ice tools, while deep stretch pockets and a helmet-compatible hood round out a jacket built to live on a climbing rack, not just in a closet."
