We don't know about you, but we're taking the Orotovox Pro Shovel when we go touring in avalanche country. A well-designed shovel is something you shouldn't be without when skiing backcountry steeps. The Ortovox Pro is strong, light, and compact. It has a telescopic handle and an ergonomic, convertible grip for right- or left-handed operation. Flip the handle around to create a scoop for digging sheer tests or snow caves.
