"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""This pack nails it for ski touring days. It’s light, carries skis securely, and the crampon side pocket is genius—you can grab them without even taking the pack off. The back panel access makes it easy to get to gear, and the fit feels dialed when you’re climbing or descending.""When the climb is steep and the descent is calling, we need a pack that keeps pace with our ambitions. The Ortovox Switchback 25L S Backpack is designed for ski tourers who refuse to compromise, blending lightweight construction with the technical details that matter most in alpine terrain. From skis to ice axe, helmet to rope, every piece of gear has a dedicated spot with fast, intuitive attachment points that make transitions seamless. We appreciate how thoughtfully Ortovox designed the pack for efficiency. A crampon compartment that can be accessed without removing the bag, a safety compartment for shovel and probe, and dual access to the main compartment—both top and back—mean we can move quickly and confidently when the terrain demands it. The Full Contact Light Back System keeps weight balanced close to the body, while robust Cordura material resists rock abrasion and harsh conditions. Lightweight yet durable, the Switchback 25L S is made for alpine missions where speed, precision, and freedom of movement are key."
