On multi-pitch routes, we depend on the Petzl Connect Adjust as our personal anchor system. The webbing end affixes to our belay loop with a simple girth hitch, while the ergonomic tube-style device lets us quickly and easily adjust the rope length once we're clipped to the anchor. The included retainer slips on our locking 'biner (sold separately) to prevent cross-loading, and we tie a cord to the adjuster's rear loop to simplify unblocking the rope when weighted.
