When a glacier traverse stands between us and the drop, we pack along the Petzl Irvis Hybrid Crampon. The flexible cord linking system lets us fold this pair in half, while the aluminum rear points further reduce weight, so we don't even feel the addition to our pack. As we move across the ice, the steel front points provide a confidence-boosting bite.
