Rab Firewall Alpine Jacket - Men's Maya Blue, M

"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: ""I bring the Firewall anytime I’m heading into the alpine with sketchy weather on the radar. Pertex Shield handles legit storms but the whole jacket still packs tiny. The articulation is excellent—reaching on steep terrain never pulls the hem—and the pit zips dump heat fast when I’m moving hard. It’s one of those shells you forget you’re wearing until the weather hits."" We rely on the Rab Firewall Alpine Jacket when the mountains throw mixed conditions our way—sun one minute, sleet the next, and the constant threat of wind ripping across exposed ridgelines. With ultralight Pertex Shield 3-layer protection, the Firewall offers a packable barrier against storms without slowing us down on fast, technical climbs. It stashes easily when skies clear, yet stands ready for full waterproof protection the moment clouds roll back in. Dialed for big-mountain movement, the Firewall’s ascent-focused articulation keeps our reach unhindered as we stem, scramble, and pull over blocks. The helmet-compatible hood and wired peak create a sturdy refuge in harsh weather, while the AquaGuard VISLON zipper and internal storm guard block out driving rain. Lightweight pit zips help regulate heat on steep approaches, and a single chest pocket stays accessible above a harness. Extended cuffs and dual-sided hem adjustments seal out drafts, rounding out a shell built for messy, unpredictable alpine missions."
