"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I wore this on a multi-day alpine route through wind and driving snow, and the GORE-TEX Pro shell never let a drop through. The helmet-compatible hood stayed put through gusty ridgelines without me touching it more than once.""Relentless conditions are part of the deal on a serious alpine objective, wind that won't quit, snow that turns sideways, exposure that doesn't forgive a bad layer choice. The Latok GTX Jacket is built for exactly that reality, a shell that holds its ground when the mountain isn't offering any favors. GORE-TEX Pro fabric blocks weather completely while staying breathable through sustained effort, and the helmet-compatible hood adjusts with a single hand when gloved fingers are all you've got to work with. Fully venting pit zips dump heat fast during hard pushes, and an integrated RECCO reflector adds a layer of safety for search and rescue in the event of an avalanche or emergency, a quiet reassurance on committing terrain."
