"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I wore this through a sleet storm waiting on a late bus, and never felt the cold get in, the 700 fill down kept pulling its weight even when everything outside was soaked. The neck baffle seals up so well I stopped reaching for a scarf altogether.""Winter has a way of turning routine commutes into small survival tests, and the Valiance Jacket from Rab is built for exactly that grind. Whether it's a slush-covered platform or a dog walk in sideways sleet, the waterproof down construction keeps the cold locked out while the warmth stays put, letting us move through the worst months without dreading the walk to the car. Underneath the shell, 700 fill recycled down packs into stitch-through baffles that hold their loft even when the weather turns rough, and the close-fitting neck baffle cuts draft at the collar completely. Internal stretch cuffs and a dropped, adjustable hem round things out, sealing in warmth at every edge so the cold never finds a way through."
