"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I took the Outpath 60 Grip Ski on a groomed loop that turned into a quick detour along a fire road and the wood core gave it a snappy, responsive feel the whole way. The 3/4 length steel edge held a line nicely when the track firmed up on the way back.""The Outpath 60 Grip Ski from Salomon is built for the tourer who likes options. This is a ski for set track days that don't always stay on the set track, the narrow sidecut tracking cleanly through groomed terrain while still floating enough to handle a few inches of fresh along a path or fire road. It's the kind of ski that makes stepping off the beaten line feel easy rather than risky. A wood core with fiberglass reinforcement gives the ski a lively, responsive character that foam cored alternatives at this price tend to miss, while 3/4 length steel edges hold steady on icy traverses or refrozen mornings. The embossed grip pattern skips the need for wax across most snow temperatures, and the whole setup comes pre-mounted, ready to click in and go from the first outing."
