"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I wore these poling the flats on a guide trip that ran into the afternoon sun, and my hands never felt cooked despite hours with no shade. The AX Suede palm gripped the pole even when everything got wet, which is exactly what I needed out there.""The SolarFlex Guide Glove from Simms goes on before the sun gets high and stays on through a full day poling the flats or rowing against current. It is built for the hours when hands do the most work, gripping oars, handling leaders, and fighting line burn while the sun beats down without mercy. AX Suede 10W-90 covers the palm with a grip that holds through wet slip and high friction wear, while a redesigned seamless palm construction cuts down on the stitching failures that used to end a glove's season early. UPF 50+ stretch textile on the back of the hand keeps skin covered and breathing, and a half-finger fourchette pattern leaves just enough dexterity to tie on a fly or feel the line without giving up protection."
