"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I skied the V-Werks 100 Ski on a firm, fast morning and felt almost no chatter even as I pushed straight lines at speed. It toured light enough on a backcountry lap later that week that I never once questioned bringing it along.""A ski this light rarely feels this composed at speed, but the Volkl V-Werks 100 Ski manages to be both without asking you to choose. We've pushed it straight down firm morning corduroy and felt it stay dead quiet underfoot, then skinned up with it strapped to a pack the very next day, never once feeling like we'd brought the wrong tool along. The 3D H-Woodcore isolates chatter at speed through its two piece poplar and beech construction, giving the ski a damp, confident ride even when you're pushing hard. Tailored Fiber Placement 2. 0 layers carbon and flax fiber precisely where stress lines demand it, delivering the kind of edgehold and stability usually reserved for heavier, less packable skis."
