It all started by trying to make a wing material that had natural veination similar to a caddis, mayfly, and/or stonefly wing. In our efforts to draw and formulate the perfect pattern we stumbled upon a natural gator skin pattern. We were amazed at how similar the pattern is to the natural veination on many down winged insects. The uses for the material are endless and limited only by the fly tyers imagination.
