"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""The automatic hub is genuinely clever for this age group. A lower gear makes push-offs easy and hills manageable, a higher gear lets them move fast on flat ground, and the bike switches between them on its own at around 7 mph. A 4 to 6 year old gets the benefit of two gears without needing to think about shifting at all.""woom put a Sturmey-Archer automatic two-speed internally geared hub on the GO 3 AUTOMAGIC, and the result is a 16"" kids' bike that shifts itself. Below around 7 mph it stays in low gear, making push-offs and hills easy. Above that it shifts into high gear for faster riding on flat ground. There is no lever, no trigger, no twist. The hub reads speed and switches on its own, keeping kids focused on riding. Everything else carries over from the GO 3: the freewheel drivetrain, 95mm child-specific cranks, two independently operated hand brakes sized for small fingers, steering limiter, quick-release seatpost, and ABC fit guide on both bars and seat. Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help."
