It is claimed to be throwable on just about any rod and reel. The ultralight version of this lure style (called an Alabama rig by some) retains all the features that made a Yum umbrella rig a standout: super-tough stainless steel, heat-treated wire, strong snaps, and swivels. The compact 5-wire design features a Colorado blade on the four outer arms. When the water is dirty or stained, bass rely more on their lateral line to detect prey.
