Black Crows Camox Freebird Ski - 2027 Red, 179cm

"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I toured a long spring corn lap on the Camox Freebird Ski, and the weight savings made a real difference on the skin track climb. Once I dropped in for the descent, the shorter sidecut let me carve tight turns through variable snow without ever feeling like I was fighting the ski.""Black Crows built the Camox Freebird Ski for the tourer who wants one pair to handle everything from a mellow spring corn lap to a mid-winter powder mission. A 97mm waist keeps things nimble on technical skin tracks, while progressive front rocker paired with an early-rise tail gives the ski real pivot control and float once the snow turns soft. A shorter, more responsive sidecut radius makes weight transfers feel dynamic and reactive, so the ski responds quickly whether you're threading trees or opening up on a wide bowl. A full paulownia core, the lightest wood in the Black Crows touring lineup, keeps the weight down for long climbs, while a mix of carbon and fiberglass laminates adds torsional stiffness without adding bulk. A titanal plate under the binding zone gives the ski the retention and stability needed for hybrid touring setups, and semi-cap construction with a partial cap tip trims even more weight where it matters most."
